Toughest Competitor Alive (TCA)

CrossFit Parker Fire is hosting this years Police & Fire Games, specifically the Toughest Competitor Alive (TCA). It's a decathlon type event that scores eight disciplines to total a winner. This thing is tailor made for a Crossfitter. The TCA is made up of 8 individual events (cross country run, stone throw, 80yd sprint, 500m indoor row, bench press, pull-ups, rock wall climb & obstacle course).

State Games - Western Region
July 26-27
Formerly the Colorado State Games, the Western Region State Games of 2008 will be held at the Olympic Training Center and other locations in Colorado Springs.

"Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports."
